For generations of British children Tony Hart was an inspirational figure more famous than Picasso and Van Gogh. The late artist and television presenter, who fronted classic BBC shows such as Vision On and Take Hart, was loved by millions through his four-decade long association with childrens tv. What many don't know, however, was that Tony was also an accomplished animator and film-maker, producing dozens of films for his own personal enjoyment. GCH Entertainment recently acquired the rights to a number of Tony Hart's previously-unseen double-perf 16mm films, which are currently being restored and telecined for DVD release next year as part of the "Lost Films of Tony Hart" documentary, an alternative version of which will be produced for television broadcast
